Osun PDP Chairman Charges Council Chairmen to Prioritize Constituent Service

In a bid to enhance service delivery and strengthen grassroots representation, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Hon. Sunday Bisi, has charged government appointees, particularly council chairmen, to prioritize the welfare and needs of their constituents above all else. This charge came at the conclusion of the PDP’s local government assessment tour, which was led by the state executive committee and concluded at the Oriade/Obokun Federal constituency.

During the event, which was attended by commissioners, special advisers, local caretaker chairmen and members, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) board members, and party stakeholders, Hon. Sunday Bisi emphasized the importance of servant leadership. He urged government appointees to adopt a servant-leader mindset, focusing on serving the people rather than asserting authority over them.

Hon. Sunday Bisi highlighted that the essence of leadership is service, stressing that government appointees must be accessible, responsive, and accountable to the people they serve. He emphasized the need for humility, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of constituents, noting that these qualities are essential for effective grassroots representation.

Furthermore, Hon. Sunday Bisi called on government appointees to prioritize transparency and inclusivity in their decision-making processes. He encouraged them to consult with stakeholders and involve the community in governance, ensuring that policies and projects reflect the needs and aspirations of the people.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Sunday Bisi reiterated the PDP’s commitment to grassroots development and urged government appointees to align themselves with the party’s principles of equity, justice, and inclusivity. He expressed confidence that with dedicated and servant-hearted leaders, the PDP would continue to make significant strides in improving the lives of the people of Osun State.

As the PDP continues its efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures and promote good governance, the charge to council chairmen and government appointees serves as a reminder of the party’s commitment to serving the people and building a better future for all.
