● Says Osun APC Hallucinating
Osun State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has berated the All Progressive Congress (APC) for living in shameful denial of a valid, subsisting judgement that sacked its Yes/No Chairmen, noting that the relevant federal agencies are already reviewing previous stance on Osun local government face off.
Responding to an APC statement, the PDP said the weight of facts and evidence confirming the illegality, rascality and irresponsibility of the Yes /No chairmen are widely before top officials of the Federal Government to stop disinformation, misinformation and fake news, insisting that “ Federal officials are in possession of all the facts for legal and due process compliance on the Osun local government controversies.
“Osun state government adopted a responsible, rule based and due process approach to the illegal invasion and attempted hijacking of the local government secretariats in Osun state. Rather than allow bloodshed which was the agenda of the APC and despite losing six of our party members, we have opted to reach out to the Attorney-General of the Federation and other relevant officials of the Federal Government.
“The Federal Government is now in possession of all the court judgments including the APP Judgement which sacked the Yes /No chairmen and the Court of Appeal ruling which struck out the APC appeal against the Federal High Court ruling.
“We have also forwarded the Certified True copy of the Akure Court of Appeal judgement. The AGF and other federal officials are now in possession of the undoctored judgement of the Court of Appeal which contained no consequential orders and which has no directive reinstating the sacked council chairmen.
“Osun APC is in severe pain because the certified true copies of judgements are now with the Federal Ministry of Justice which is currently reviewing the submissions in comparison to earlier stance. We have escalated the basic facts to key offices in Abuja. The lies of the Osun APC are busted”, the state PDP posited.
Osun PDP noted that Osun APC had clouded Abuja power centers with lies for long over the Osun issue, adding “We have dismantled the house of lies. There is no judgement reinstating the Yes/No chairmen.
“The authentic chairmen and councillors of our great party remain the validly elected local government leaders in Osun state. The Presidency has seen the public relations crisis some misguided APC members have plunged the reputable name of Mr President.
“From Abuja to Lagos and other capitals of goodwill, the focus now is to read the other side of the story and abide by reality as evidenced in relevant judgements instead of the fake news the APC is parading.
“We commend our state government for reaching out to the relevant federal officials. We believe in the democratic credential of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor Ademola Adeleke has always canvassed”, the statement signed by Mr Sunday Bisi, the PDP state chairman noted.
