Osun PDP State Tour: A Call for Peace and Accountability




The leadership of the Osun State People’s Democratic Party (PDP), under the stewardship of Hon. Sunday Bisi, embarked on a state tour to all local governments in Osun State on February 12, 2024. The tour is aimed at fostering unity and progress within the party, saw the participation of various stakeholders, including honourable members, commissioners, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) board members, and other party faithful.

The State Working Committee (SWC) has visited all local governments under Irewole Federal Constituency, Ila Federal Constituency, Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Ijesha South Federal Constituency, and Iwo Federal Constituency. The tour continued today at Ife Federal Constituency, where Hon. Sunday Bisi emphasized the need for peace and accountability among party members and political officeholders.

During these visits, Hon. Bisi reiterated the importance of unity among party members, urging them to set aside their differences and work towards the common goal of achieving a better and more prosperous Osun State. He also emphasized the need for political officeholders to be more accountable to the citizens, stating that transparency and openness are crucial in building trust and confidence among the electorate.

The tour served as an opportunity for the PDP leadership to interact with party members at the grassroots level, listening to their concerns and addressing issues that affect them. It also provided a platform for the party to reaffirm its commitment to the development of the party and the entire state.

In his remarks, Hon. Sunday Bisi commended the efforts of party members in Ife Federal Constituency, noting their dedication and commitment to the ideals of the PDP. He urged them to remain steadfast and continue to support the party’s agenda for progress and development.

The visit of the Osun PDP Excos to Ife Federal Constituency was not only a demonstration of solidarity but also a reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to peace, unity, and accountability. It serves as a reminder to all party members and political office holders of their responsibilities to the people and the party, emphasizing the need to work together for the greater good.
